PRF Hair Restoration
in Jonesboro, AR.

PRF hair restoration uses platelet-rich fibrin made from a small sample of your own blood, together with microneedling on the scalp. The goal is to support the hair follicles in areas that are thinning. It’s done in the office, and you go home the same day.

Your own bloodMen and womenHome the same day

Here’s exactly what happens at a first visit — and you can come and see the place before you book anything.

01 — What PRF is

Your own platelets, in a soft gel.

PRF is platelet-rich fibrin. It’s made from your own blood in a single, gentle spin, with nothing added, so it stays as a soft fibrin gel that holds platelets and growth factors.

It’s a close cousin of PRP, which we use for PRP microneedling.

It is made in the clinic during the same visit, from a sample drawn from your arm.

02 — Is this you?

Thinning, caught early.

Probably you

  • You’re thinning on top, at the crown or along the part
  • You have early-to-moderate pattern hair loss, as a man or a woman. Studies show the best response in earlier stages.

Probably not you

If areas are completely bald, or the hair loss comes from a scarring condition.

Some causes of hair loss need medical tests first (thyroid, iron, hormones), and we’ll talk about that at your consultation. Tell us about bleeding disorders, autoimmune conditions or pregnancy.

03 — What it feels like

Pressure, made easier with numbing.

You’ll feel pressure and some tenderness on the scalp, made easier with numbing.

The blood draw feels like a routine test.

04 — How it works

What happens, in order.

  1. Consultation: a conversation and a look at your scalp.

  2. Blood draw: a small sample from your arm.

  3. Spin: the sample goes into a centrifuge to make PRF.

  4. Microneedling: numbing if needed, then microneedling across the thinning areas.

  5. PRF: the PRF is applied and injected into the scalp.

  6. Add-on: plus a topical treatment your provider recommends.

  7. Home: you go home the same day.

05 — Recovery

A day or two of tenderness.

The scalp may be red or tender for a day or two. Brief bruising is possible.

Follow your aftercare instructions on washing your hair and avoiding heavy sweating.

06 — Results and sessions

Hair grows slowly, so give it months.

Hair grows slowly, so changes take months to show. A common plan is one session a month for three to four months, then maintenance every few months. Your plan is set at your consultation.

Results vary. The studies on PRF and PRP for hair loss are small, and results tend to fade if treatment stops.

Cost & financing

Cost is quoted in writing at your consultation.

Cost depends on the treatment plan you and your physician settle on, so we quote it at your consultation rather than guessing here. We offer financing.

We see patients from Jonesboro, Paragould and across Northeast Arkansas, and some travel from the Missouri Bootheel.

09 — Questions

Asked at the desk, answered here.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD. If yours is not here, call (870) 230-0844 and ask — nobody will try to book you for asking a question.

Does PRF hair restoration work?

Small studies show improvement for many people with early-to-moderate pattern hair loss. Results vary, and it isn't a cure.

What's the difference between PRF and PRP for hair?

Both come from your own blood. A PRP hair treatment uses plasma spun to concentrate the platelets. PRF is made in a single, gentle spin with nothing added, so it stays as a soft fibrin gel that holds platelets and growth factors.

How many sessions will I need?

A common plan is one session a month for three to four months, then maintenance every few months. Your plan is set at your consultation.

Does it hurt?

You'll feel pressure and some tenderness on the scalp, made easier with numbing. The blood draw feels like a routine test.

Is it for men and women?

Yes. It's for early-to-moderate pattern hair loss in men and in women.

When will I see results?

Hair grows slowly, so changes take months to show. Results vary, and they tend to fade if treatment stops.

What does it cost?

It depends on your plan. We email you a written quote after your consultation, with a financing link. You can pay with Cherry, PatientFi or our in-house plan.
