Fluids, straight in.
in Jonesboro, AR.
An hour in a chair while fluids and nutrients go in directly, in an outpatient setting with a physician on site.
IV hydration delivers fluids and nutrients directly into a vein, so they do not depend on your gut absorbing them. It is given in an outpatient setting at Lux Lipo in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with a physician overseeing it. It is not a treatment for illness, and cost is quoted at your consultation.
Here’s exactly what happens at a first visit — and you can come and see the place before you book anything.
A drip, in a chair, with someone watching.
A small cannula goes into a vein in your arm and a bag of fluid runs through it. Depending on the mix, that fluid can carry electrolytes and nutrients as well as hydration.
The reason people choose it over drinking fluids or taking a supplement is absorption: nothing has to pass through the gut first.
It is a medical procedure, not a spa service, which is why a physician oversees it and why your history matters.
Run down, dehydrated, or travelling hard.
People book this when they are dehydrated after illness or exertion, when travel and long days have caught up with them, or when they simply want a session before a demanding week.
This probably is not the right route if you are unwell with something that needs diagnosing. A drip is not a diagnosis, and feeling repeatedly exhausted deserves an explanation rather than a top-up. Say so at the consultation, because the honest answer may be that you need bloodwork rather than a bag of fluid.
One needle, then sitting still.
The cannula going in is the only sharp part. After that you sit while the bag runs through, and most people read, work or doze.
Some people notice a cool sensation up the arm, or a taste, depending on what is in the bag.
What happens, in order.
-
A consultation: what is going on, your medical history and any medication you take.
-
A decision on whether this is appropriate, and what should be in the bag.
-
The cannula is placed and the infusion runs.
-
You are monitored while it runs rather than left alone with it.
-
The cannula comes out and you go about your day.
What it can and cannot do.
Rehydration is the part that is straightforward: fluid given intravenously rehydrates you faster than drinking it.
Beyond that we are careful about what we claim. We do not promise energy, immunity or recovery outcomes, because those are not things we can honestly promise. Individual results vary.
Cost is quoted in writing at your consultation.
Cost depends on the treatment plan you and your physician settle on, so we quote it at your consultation rather than guessing here. We offer financing.
We see patients from Jonesboro, Paragould and across Northeast Arkansas, and some travel from the Missouri Bootheel.
It is still a line into a vein.
Common and temporary: discomfort, bruising or a small lump at the cannula site, and a cool sensation as the fluid runs.
Less common: inflammation of the vein, infection at the site, fluid overload in people with heart or kidney conditions, or a reaction to something in the mix.
Tell your physician about heart, kidney or blood-pressure conditions and any allergies, because those change whether this is appropriate for you.
A physician oversees it.
Every IV hydration treatment at Lux Lipo is performed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD, a physician member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Asked at the desk, answered here.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD. If yours is not here, call (870) 230-0844 and ask — nobody will try to book you for asking a question.
How long does it take?
Long enough to sit down for: the bag runs through at a controlled rate while you are monitored. The exact time is confirmed when you book.
Does it hurt?
The cannula going in is the only sharp part. After that most people sit comfortably and read or work.
Will it give me more energy?
We do not promise that. Rehydration is what IV fluid reliably does. If you are exhausted repeatedly, that deserves an explanation rather than a top-up, and we will say so.
Is it safe?
It is a line into a vein, so it carries real if uncommon risks including vein inflammation and infection at the site. Heart and kidney conditions matter here, which is why your history is reviewed first.
Can I have it if I am unwell?
If you are unwell with something undiagnosed, a drip is not the answer. Call the clinic and describe what is going on, and we will tell you plainly whether this is appropriate.
How often can I have it?
That depends on why you are having it, and it is a question for your physician rather than a standing schedule.
What does it cost?
Cost depends on what is in the bag, so we quote it at your consultation rather than guessing here. Financing is available.
Come in.
Or book ahead.
A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment. We'll tell you honestly what's realistic for you.
