Built around what actually changed.
in Jonesboro, AR.

A mommy makeover is a combination plan, not a fixed package. What goes into yours depends on what pregnancy did to your body.

A mommy makeover at Lux Lipo is a combination of body treatments planned together rather than a fixed package of procedures. What it includes is decided at your consultation in Jonesboro, Arkansas, based on which areas pregnancy changed and what is safe to do in one visit. Our body work is done under local anesthetic with you awake, and cost is quoted at your consultation.

Physician-ledLocal anestheticHome the same day

Here’s exactly what happens at a first visit — and you can come and see the place before you book anything.

01 — What it is

A plan, not a package.

A mommy makeover is a combination of treatments carried out as one plan. It is not a fixed list, and we deliberately do not publish one, because the useful version is built around your body rather than a menu.

For some people the issue is fat that will not shift from the abdomen or the flanks. For others it is the waist or the thighs, or skin that has lost tone, or volume that has gone from somewhere and settled somewhere else. Those are different treatments, so they get a different plan.

02 — Is this you?

When more than one thing is bothering you.

Probably you

This is probably you if you are finished having children, you are at a weight you are reasonably settled at, and there is more than one area you would change. Combining treatments means one recovery instead of several.

Probably not you

It suits people who want to talk through the whole picture rather than book a single procedure and wonder about the rest.

This probably is not you yet if you are still planning a pregnancy, if you are actively losing a significant amount of weight, or if you are still breastfeeding. In each case the sensible answer is to wait, and we will tell you so.

03 — What it feels like

Awake, numbed, and talking to us.

Our body work is done under diluted local anesthetic with you awake. Most people describe the sensation as pressure and movement rather than pain, and you can tell us at any point if something is uncomfortable.

Because you are not under general anesthesia, you go home the same day rather than being admitted.

04 — How it works

The plan is the first step.

  1. A consultation, where you describe what changed and what bothers you most.

  2. An assessment of whether each concern is fat, skin, volume or a combination, because that decides the treatment.

  3. A written plan, including what can safely be done in one visit and what is better staged.

  4. The treatments themselves, combined where it is safe to combine them.

  5. Review appointments as everything settles.

05 — Building the plan

Three questions that shape every plan.

Is it fat, skin, or volume? They look similar in the mirror and they are completely different problems. Fat that will not shift is a liposuction conversation. Skin that has lost tone is a skin-tightening one. Volume that has moved is a fat transfer one. Most people are dealing with more than one.

What can safely happen in one visit? Combining treatments means one recovery, which is the main reason to plan it this way. It also means a longer procedure, so there is a limit, and your physician sets it.

What is worth staging? Sometimes the better plan is two visits a few months apart, so each area is judged as it heals rather than everything settling at once.

06 — Recovery

One recovery instead of several.

Recovery depends on what is in your plan. Where liposuction is part of it, expect swelling, bruising, soreness and temporary numbness, fluid drainage from the small incision sites in the first 24 to 48 hours, and a compression garment worn as instructed.

Combining treatments generally means one recovery period rather than several separate ones, which is a large part of why people choose to plan it this way. Your physician gives you the timeline for your own combination.

07 — Results

Judged over months, not days.

Swelling takes weeks to settle, and the shape is generally assessed over three to six months. Where fat has been transferred, some of it is reabsorbed in the first few months and what remains is what you keep.

Individual results vary. Pregnancy changes bodies differently, so the honest answer about your result comes from your physician looking at you rather than from this page.

Cost & financing

Cost is quoted in writing at your consultation.

Cost depends on the treatment plan you and your physician settle on, so we quote it at your consultation rather than guessing here. We offer financing.

We see patients from Jonesboro, Paragould and across Northeast Arkansas, and some travel from the Missouri Bootheel.

08 — Risks, plainly

Combining treatments means combining risks.

Each treatment in the plan carries its own risks: swelling, bruising, soreness, numbness and unevenness are common and temporary; infection, fluid collection, contour irregularity needing a touch-up and reactions to the anesthetic are less common.

Doing several things in one visit means a longer procedure, so part of the planning is deciding what is sensible to combine and what is safer to stage. Your physician will tell you where that line is for you rather than fitting everything into one day because you asked.

09 — Who performs it

A physician plans it and does the work.

Dr. Rohit Chug, MD, a cosmetic physician, performs most of our fat-transfer work. Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD, a physician member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, performs the rest and oversees every plan.

10 — Before you choose anyone

What to ask any provider, including us.

Ask any clinic offering a combination plan: which of my concerns is fat, which is skin, and which is volume? What would you do in one visit and what would you stage, and why? How many of these do you perform in a month? Can I see before and after photographs of a similar combination? Who handles the follow-up?

Be wary of a fixed package. A list that is the same for everyone was not built around your body.

11 — Getting here

Northeast Arkansas and the Bootheel.

We are at 3800B S Caraway Rd in Jonesboro, and people travel to us from Paragould, Trumann, Walnut Ridge, Newport, Corning, Blytheville and Batesville, and from Kennett, Sikeston and Poplar Bluff in Missouri, rather than driving to Memphis, Little Rock or Nashville.

If your plan is staged across more than one visit, say at the consultation that you are travelling and the timings can be built around that.

12 — Before & after

Ask to see cases like yours.

We publish photographs only where the patient has given written permission. Because every plan is different, the useful comparison is a case with a similar combination to yours, and the physician can show you those at your consultation. Individual results vary.

Before & after

We show before-and-after photographs in person.

Every photograph we publish is published because a patient signed a written release, and most people would rather we did not. At your consultation the physician will show you pairs that match your own body and the treatment being discussed — which is more use to you than a page of strangers. Individual results vary.

13 — Questions

Asked at the desk, answered here.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD. If yours is not here, call (870) 230-0844 and ask — nobody will try to book you for asking a question.

What is included in a mommy makeover?

There is no fixed list. It is a combination plan built at your consultation around the areas pregnancy changed for you. That is why we do not publish a package: the useful version is the one that matches your body.

Do I have to be put to sleep?

No. Our body work is done under diluted local anesthetic with you awake, in an outpatient setting, and you go home the same day.

How long should I wait after having a baby?

Long enough that your weight and your body have settled, and after you have finished breastfeeding. If you are planning another pregnancy, waiting is usually the sensible advice, and we will say so rather than book you in.

Can everything be done in one visit?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. Part of the planning is deciding what is safe to combine in one session and what is better staged. Your physician makes that call based on the amount of work involved.

How long is the recovery?

It depends what is in your plan. Where liposuction is involved, expect swelling, bruising and fluid drainage from the incision sites for the first 24 to 48 hours, with a compression garment as instructed. Combining treatments usually means one recovery rather than several.

When will I see the result?

Swelling settles over weeks and the shape is judged over three to six months. Individual results vary.

Will this fix loose skin?

Loose skin is a different problem from fat, and it is treated differently. If skin tone is the main issue, skin tightening is likely to be part of the conversation. Your physician will tell you honestly which of the two you are dealing with.

What does it cost?

Cost depends entirely on what is in your plan, which is another reason we quote at consultation rather than publishing a figure. Financing is available.

Why will you not publish a list of what is included?

Because a fixed list is the same for everyone, and pregnancy does not change everyone in the same way. The useful plan is the one built at your consultation around the areas that actually changed for you.

Is it cheaper to combine treatments?

Cost depends on what is in the plan, so it is quoted at your consultation. What combining reliably saves is recovery time, because one recovery replaces several.

What if I want something you do not recommend?

We will give you a straight answer about why, and the alternative if there is one. We would rather talk you out of something than do it badly.

Come in.
Or book ahead.

A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment. We'll tell you honestly what's realistic for you.
