For the lines that appear when you move.
in Jonesboro, AR.

A short appointment that relaxes the muscles creasing the skin. Nothing to recover from.

Botox is a wrinkle relaxer given as small injections that soften the muscles creating movement lines, most often across the forehead, between the brows and at the corners of the eyes. It is a short appointment with little or no downtime, done at Lux Lipo in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Results are temporary and cost is quoted at your consultation.

Here’s exactly what happens at a first visit — and you can come and see the place before you book anything.

01 — What it is

Relaxing the muscle, not filling the line.

Some lines appear only when your face moves: frowning, raising your brows, smiling. Those are made by muscle. Botox relaxes that muscle so the skin over it creases less.

It does not add volume. Lines that are visible when your face is completely still are a different problem, and a relaxer will not fill them.

02 — Is this you?

Movement lines, and wanting to look rested.

Probably you

This is probably you if the lines that bother you show up when you frown or raise your brows, if people tell you that you look tired or cross when you feel neither, or if you want the change to be subtle enough that nobody names it.

Probably not you

This probably is not you if you want more volume, or if the lines are etched in at rest. Say what bothers you and we will tell you honestly whether this is the treatment for it.

03 — What it feels like

Quick, and less than you expect.

The needle is very fine and the injections take a few minutes in total. Most people describe a brief sting or pinch rather than pain.

You walk out and get on with your day.

04 — How it works

What happens, in order.

  1. A consultation, where a physician watches your face move and marks where the muscle is doing the work.

  2. A plan: which areas, and how much, aiming for softer rather than frozen.

  3. The injections, over a few minutes.

  4. Aftercare: stay upright for a few hours and avoid rubbing the area.

  5. A review, so the result can be checked and adjusted next time.

05 — Results

A few days to appear, months to fade.

It does not work instantly. The effect comes in over several days and settles within about two weeks, which is when the result should be judged.

It is temporary. Movement returns gradually and the treatment is repeated to maintain it. How long yours lasts depends on your muscle and your metabolism, so your physician will give you a realistic expectation rather than an average. Individual results vary.

Cost & financing

Cost is quoted in writing at your consultation.

Cost depends on the treatment plan you and your physician settle on, so we quote it at your consultation rather than guessing here. We offer financing.

06 — Risks, plainly

What to weigh up.

Common and temporary: small bruises or bumps at the injection sites, mild headache, tenderness. Less common: a brow or eyelid that drops on one side, asymmetry, or an effect that is stronger or weaker than intended. Those resolve as the treatment wears off, but wearing off takes time.

Tell your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a neuromuscular condition, because those change the answer.

07 — Who performs it

A physician does the assessment and the injections.

Every Botox treatment at Lux Lipo is performed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD, a physician member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

09 — Questions

Asked at the desk, answered here.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD. If yours is not here, call (870) 230-0844 and ask — nobody will try to book you for asking a question.

How long does it take to work?

Not instantly. The effect builds over several days and settles by about two weeks, which is when the result should be judged.

How long does it last?

It is temporary and movement returns gradually. How long depends on your muscle and metabolism, so your physician gives you a realistic expectation rather than an average.

Will I look frozen?

That is a question of how much is used and where. The aim here is softer movement rather than none, and it is easier to add a little more at review than to undo too much.

Does it help lines I have when my face is still?

Not really. Those are a different problem and a relaxer will not fill them. We will tell you that rather than treat you anyway.

Is there any downtime?

Little or none. Stay upright for a few hours, avoid rubbing the area, and get on with your day.

Can it be combined with anything else?

It is often discussed alongside microneedling for skin texture, since the two treat different things. Your physician will say whether both are worth doing.

What does it cost?

Cost depends on the areas treated and how much is used, so we quote it at your consultation rather than guessing here. Financing is available.

Come in.
Or book ahead.

A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment. We'll tell you honestly what's realistic for you.
