Home · Women’s wellness · Aviva Labial Remodeling (Non-Surgical)

Reshaping, without a surgical labiaplasty.
in Jonesboro, AR.

Aviva is radiofrequency-assisted, minimally invasive labial remodeling. Lower downtime than surgery, and not the same result for everyone.

Aviva is a radiofrequency-assisted, minimally invasive treatment that remodels the labia, offered as a lower-downtime alternative to a surgical labiaplasty. It suits women bothered by the size or shape of the labia, whether the concern is comfort in clothing and exercise or appearance. It is done at Lux Lipo in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and cost is quoted at your consultation.

Here’s exactly what happens at a first visit — and you can come and see the place before you book anything.

01 — What it is

Radiofrequency-assisted remodeling.

Aviva uses radiofrequency energy to remodel the labia through a minimally invasive approach, rather than by excising and stitching tissue the way a surgical labiaplasty does.

That difference is the whole point of the treatment, and it is also its limit. Less is done, so recovery is generally easier, and the change is generally more modest.

02 — Honest comparison

Lower downtime. Not the same result for everyone.

A surgical labiaplasty removes tissue and closes the edge. It is the more definitive option, particularly where there is a significant amount of tissue to reduce, and it has a surgical recovery to match.

Aviva is minimally invasive and generally has less downtime. For some women it achieves what they came in for. For others it does not go far enough, and the honest answer at the consultation is that a surgical labiaplasty is the procedure that matches what they are describing.

We would rather tell you that than treat you twice. If your physician thinks Aviva will not get you where you want to be, we say so at the consultation, not afterwards. More about labiaplasty.

03 — Is this you?

Comfort as often as appearance.

Probably you

This is probably you if the labia catch or rub in underwear, leggings or on a bike, if certain clothes or exercise have become uncomfortable, or if the appearance has changed after childbirth or with age and it bothers you.

Probably not you

It suits women who want a change without a surgical recovery, and who are realistic that a minimally invasive treatment does less than surgery.

This probably is not you if there is a large amount of tissue to reduce, in which case labiaplasty is the more honest conversation. It is also not you if what is bothering you is dryness, laxity or leaking, which are different problems with different treatments.

04 — What it feels like

Numbed, and private.

The area is numbed before anything is done. Most women describe pressure and warmth rather than pain, and you can say at any point that you want to stop.

The room is private and you can bring someone with you. Nothing is photographed without your written permission.

05 — How it works

What happens, in order.

  1. A private consultation, where you describe what bothers you and why.

  2. An assessment, and an honest answer about whether Aviva or a surgical labiaplasty better matches it.

  3. Local anesthetic to numb the area.

  4. The treatment itself, delivered through a minimally invasive approach.

  5. Review as everything settles.

06 — Recovery

Easier than surgery, not nothing.

Expect swelling and tenderness in the treated area while it settles. It is generally an easier recovery than a surgical labiaplasty, which is the main reason women choose it, but it is a treatment rather than nothing and it deserves a few quiet days.

Specific restrictions, including when you can exercise and when you can have sex, are given to you by your physician at the appointment rather than published here.

07 — Results

Settled over weeks, not days.

Swelling has to settle before the shape can be judged, so this is assessed over weeks rather than on the day.

Individual results vary, and they vary more with a minimally invasive treatment than with surgery, because the tissue does more of the work. Your physician will tell you what is realistic for your anatomy.

Cost & financing

Cost is quoted in writing at your consultation.

Cost depends on the treatment plan you and your physician settle on, so we quote it at your consultation rather than guessing here. We offer financing.

We see patients from Jonesboro, Paragould and across Northeast Arkansas, and some travel from the Missouri Bootheel.

08 — Risks, plainly

What to weigh up.

Common and temporary: swelling, tenderness, and sensitivity in the treated area. Less common: infection, a reaction to the anesthetic, asymmetry, changes in sensation, or a result that is less than you hoped for and leads to a further conversation.

The most likely disappointment with a minimally invasive treatment is that it does less than surgery would. That is why the comparison above sits high on this page rather than buried at the bottom.

09 — Who performs it

A physician does the work.

Every Aviva treatment at Lux Lipo is performed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD, a physician member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

10 — Before you choose anyone

What to ask any provider, including us.

Useful questions anywhere you go: would surgery give me a different result from this, and how different? How many of each do you perform in a month? Can I see comparable cases? What is the recovery, honestly? What happens if I am not happy with the result? Who handles the follow-up?

Ask specifically what this treatment does not do. Anyone who will not answer that has not given you enough to decide with.

11 — Getting here

Northeast Arkansas and the Bootheel.

We are at 3800B S Caraway Rd in Jonesboro, and women travel to us from Paragould, Trumann, Walnut Ridge, Newport, Corning, Blytheville and Batesville, and from Kennett, Sikeston and Poplar Bluff in Missouri, rather than driving to Memphis or Little Rock.

If you are travelling, plan the review visit in when you book.

12 — Before & after

Ask at your consultation.

We publish photographs only where the patient has given written permission, and for this treatment we do not publish them on the site at all. Ask at your consultation and the physician can show you comparable cases privately. Individual results vary.

Before & after

We show before-and-after photographs in person.

Every photograph we publish is published because a patient signed a written release, and most people would rather we did not. At your consultation the physician will show you pairs that match your own body and the treatment being discussed — which is more use to you than a page of strangers. Individual results vary.

If you’re here about something private

Nobody has to know you came in.

A lot of what we treat — dryness, leaking, discomfort, how things look — people don’t say out loud, even to their doctor. These pages exist so you can get an answer without asking a person. When you’re ready, this is what a visit looks like.

01

You never have to say it out loud. Book online and pick a consultation — you don’t have to explain anything to anyone at the front desk. The first person you discuss it with is the physician.

02

A private room, and a physician in it. A physician examines you and answers your questions — not a coordinator. Bring someone with you or come alone — whichever makes it easier.

03

You can stop at any point. A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment. Plenty of people come in, ask everything, and decide not to do anything. That’s a fine outcome.

04

Your file is your file. HIPAA applies to everything here. No photo of you is ever used anywhere without your written consent, and you can withdraw it later.

13 — Questions

Asked at the desk, answered here.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD. If yours is not here, call (870) 230-0844 and ask — nobody will try to book you for asking a question.

What is Aviva?

It is a radiofrequency-assisted, minimally invasive treatment that remodels the labia. It is offered as an alternative to a surgical labiaplasty for women who want less downtime.

Is Aviva as good as a labiaplasty?

It is different rather than equivalent. Surgery removes tissue and is more definitive, particularly where there is a lot to reduce. Aviva does less, with generally less downtime. For some women that is exactly right, and for others it is not enough, which is what the consultation decides.

Is it surgery?

It is minimally invasive rather than a surgical labiaplasty. The area is numbed with local anesthetic, and there is no general anesthesia.

How long is the recovery?

Expect swelling and tenderness while it settles, generally easier than a surgical recovery. Specific restrictions, including exercise and sex, are given to you by your physician rather than published here.

When will I see the result?

Swelling has to settle before the shape can be judged, so it is assessed over weeks rather than on the day. Individual results vary.

Will it help if the problem is comfort rather than appearance?

Often yes. Catching or rubbing in clothing and during exercise is one of the most common reasons women come in, and it is a legitimate reason on its own.

Is the appointment private?

Yes. The room is private, you can bring someone with you, and nothing is photographed without your written permission.

What does it cost?

Cost depends on what you and your physician settle on, so we quote it at your consultation rather than guessing here. Financing is available.
